Red Gas is a more powerful variant of Green Gas, the most common Airsoft gas gun propellent. Red Gas is also know as Freon22 and is commonly used to power Air Conditioners in the USA. Airsoft guns must be rated for Red Gas or they can will not be able to handle the extra power and use of red gas. Use of Red Gas can damaged or break guns not designed to work with this more powerful gas. However, guns that are made for use with red gas can be powered by green gas, the disadvantage being that green gas is less powerful and the gun will not shoot at its maximum FPS.
Advantages: *More Powerful *Higher Feet Per Second *Faster Blow Back Action
Disadvantages: *More Expensive *Not Always Available *Can Damage Non-Metal Guns

sir mac di mo sinagot tanong ko.....
@ sir D - freon 22 is too much for your slide to handle..... you can use red gas but you have to take the risk or even the fact that according to los pistoleros, a pistol w/out a metal slide can reach only up to 20-40 rounds of BBs before it breaks if red gas would be used.... take note 20-40, so thats around 1-3 mag full of BBs.... hehehehe

@ sir gen - Dichlorodifluoromethane (R-12), usually sold under the brand name Freon-12, is a chlorofluorocarbon halomethane, commonly known as CFC, used as a refrigerant and aerosol spray propellant until its manufacture was discontinued and banned of new production in the United States and many countries in 1994, due to concerns about damage to the ozone layer. It is soluble in many organic solvents.
Sa madaling salita.... the first ever gas powered airsoft guns were commonly referred to as 'classic' guns, owing to their age. These guns were most commonly powered by liquid propellants such as R-12 (Which was marketed by the Japanese as FLON-12 or brand name Freon-12) Freon feed system with a majority of the configurations containing two tanks, one containing the R-12 and one used as an expansion tank, and the gun itself. R-12 was commonly used in car air conditioning systems. It is also illegal in some states and parts of the world because it is not environmentally friendly. Later users modified these old guns to be powered by regulated CO2 canisters or nitrogen/high pressure air bottles to increase power and consistency. However, these guns have largely been superseded by the newer and more versatile AEGs, or automatic electric guns. One of the reasons for this is because the most commonly available propellant, R-12, is costly. Additionally, at high flow rates, liquid propellants tend to cool down, eventually freezing. As cooldown progresses, the rate of fire gradually decreases until the gun ceases operation. The user would then be forced to wait for the propellant to warm up again. CO2 is not affected as badly by this tendency, and nitrogen/high pressure air is immune to it. Furthermore, if liquid propellant is introduced into the gun's mechanism, rubber parts can freeze and eventually damage the gun.

google boy... hehehe...
so can i or i cant........ i know i can use r-12 commonly known nowadays as 134-A with a little bit of silicon to lessen the freezing of the gun's parts... what i am worried about is if my gun can handle r-22 gas...
hehehehe practice mode si padi dito ah........ tumulong ka kaya samin sa FAS.....
