Team Oakwood Boys General Rules and Regulations
I. Airsoft Weapon Requirements Maximum velocity of 450 FPS with .20g BB's. Weapons that exceed 450 FPS with .20g will not be allowed to play in the competition. The FPS Velocity limit is an absolute limit, not a goal.
II. Chronograph
All airsoft weapons to be used by participants during the event must be chronographed by authorized personnel prior to game-start, using the skirmish authorized chronograph provided.
Any and all airsoft weapons to be used by participants during the event must be chronographed by Team OB’s authorized personnel prior to use during a game. Any airsoft weapon, which does not meet the velocity limits stated above, may not be used during the event and will not be allowed into the game area. There will be no exceptions.
The results of the skirmish-authorized chronograph provided by TEAM OB personnel will have final say and will be the results used for FPS velocity compliance determination. The results of any other chronograph used or any other method of velocity determination will not be accepted. The word of the personnel administering the chronograph will have the final word on the compliance, or lack thereof, of any airsoft weapon.
It is the responsibility of the event participant to ensure that his/her airsoft weapon has been chronographed by Team OB prior to game start. Use of an airsoft weapon during a game that has not been chronographed by the authorized staff prior to game-start, will result in expulsion, suspension, and/or termination of event privileges.
All velocity tests will be done with .20g BB's
III. Non-Airsoft Weapons
The use of Daisy Red-Rider, Cross man, or any other type of weapon commonly known as an air gun or BB Gun is not allowed . The use of full metal BB's or pellets is not allowed. Only airsoft replicas using plastic (6 mm plastic pellets) ammunition are permitted. Any weapon that Team OB does not deem an airsoft weapon will not be allowed. Organizers will have final say on what does, and does not, constitute an airsoft weapon. Gas guns are not allowed.
IV. Pyrotechnic Devices
As a general rule, the use of pyrotechnic devices is not allowed during and after the event. Pyrotechnic devices may be allowed or disallowed, on an individual event basis, depending on field conditions, location, and expressed member concerns. Pyrotechnic devices are, by default, not to be used at any event unless the details posted for a given event specify otherwise.
V. Paint/Water Based Grenades and Support Weapons
As a general rule, the use of paint and water based grenades and support weapons (i.e. available paint rocket launchers, mortars, booby traps, water-balloon mortars, etc.) will not be allowed during any events.
Exceptions may be made for a particular event or scenario based on the feedback, concerns, and opinions of members of the Event Organizers; and the needs of that particular event or scenario. If use of any/all paint and water based grenades or support weapons will be allowed during a given event or scenario, this information will be posted in the details of the event announcement.
VI. Knives, Bayonets, and other melee weapons
Event participants may not use during play, or carry on their person during play, any real-steel combat knife, survival knife, bayonet, dagger, blade, rubber or plastic prop, stage, or fake knives or any other item which might be used as a melee weapon; even if that item is for cosmetic use and kept sheathed at all times.
VII. Safety Equipment, and Gear Requirements
All event participants are expected to arrive properly equipped and attired to meet any and all safety equipment, and gear requirements; and ready to play. Failure to meet these requirements upon arrival at a any event, or any time during the event, will result in refusal of play and dismissal from the field. The following uniform, safety equipment, and gear requirements apply only to airsoft events conducted by Team OB.
You must have athletic supportive footwear. No flip flops or gym shoes.
VIII. Eye Protection/Face Protection
Team OB requires all event participants to wear FULL SEAL ballistic eye protection that meets or exceeds ANSI Z87.1 standards or above. Paintball goggle systems (such as those in the JT line), full-face paintball masks, Tactical goggles (such as those made by Bolle or Hatch), and full wraparound ballistic shooting glasses (such as those made by WileyX and Smith & Wesson) are acceptable. Shop glasses, ski goggles, sunglasses, and military sun, wind, and dust goggles are not acceptable.
Each participant is responsible for proving that eye protection meets or exceeds ANSI Z87.1 standards. The ANSI Z87.1 rating must be clearly printed by the manufacturer on the eye protection itself or manufacturer documentation must be presented upon request that clearly depicts, both visually and textually, the eye protection is ballistic eyewear that meets or exceeds ANSI Z87.1 standards.
Eye protection must wrap around and completely cover the eye-orbits so as to prevent a BB from entering from the front or the sides. Eye protection should fit snuggly against the face and be firmly secured so as to prevent them from becoming dislodged from your face.
Team OB reserves the right to refuse participation to any event participant who presents eye protection that we feel does not offer suitable protection to the wearer, does not satisfactorily meet above requirements, or the event participant cannot provide acceptable documentation that the eye protection is ballistic eye protection that meets or exceeds ANSI Z87.1 standards.
Full-face protection in the form of anything that covers the mouth, nose and ears is mandatory for all those players participating that are under the age of 18. Ski masks will not be allowed.
IX. Gear Recommendations
All players participating in OB events are required to wear sturdy, over-the-ankle, lace-up boots for support and protection. Combat boots, tactical boots, hiking boots, and work boots that lace-up over-the-ankle are acceptable.
X. Gun cases and weapon transportation
All weapons must be transported to and from the field in a soft shell or hard shell gun case suitable for legal transportation of a live real-steal firearm. Weapons may only be removed from their case in the designated safe zone of the field. A weapon may not be removed from its case in your vehicle, and then carried into the safe zone; it must be transported into the designated safe zone of the field in an appropriate gun case. Airsoft weapons may not be openly displayed outside of the field's designated safe zone. If you are unaware of where the designated safe zone is on a given field, leave your airsoft weapon in its case until you can find out from a official present. Product boxes are not acceptable as a gun case unless it is completely enclosed in a bag or carry case. A holstered sidearm is not acceptable as a gun case and may not be transported from the parking area onto the field, or vice-versa, in its holster.
A transported weapon must be clear and unloaded with its safety engaged and any magazine or ammunition removed.
XI. Lost, Stolen, or Broken Equipment
Team OB assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, or broken equipment. Individual equipment is each participant's own responsibility. However, it is fully expected that any participant at any event to pick-up and return found items/gear to its rightful owner and should surrender the same to Team OB organizers for safekeeping and announcement of found items/gears.
Team OB will not tolerate thievery of any kind. If an event participant is caught stealing equipment or another's personal property, that participant will be immediately expelled from the field with no refund. Team OB assumes no responsibility for the safe and timely return of any items that participants may loan to one another.
XII. Rules & Policies
It is the responsibility of each participant and individual participating in any OB airsoft event to have read, understand, and faithfully adhere to all current rules and policies. Official Game Rules for the 1st Team Oakwood Boys Jungle Speedball Airsoft Cup are provided under Annex A and its attached schedules.
XIII. Safety First
Participants in Team OB airsoft events adhere to a policy of Safety First. The personal safety and well being of each player at any Team OB event is the responsibility of every player. Participants in a Team OB airsoft event will make every effort to ensure the safety and well being of themselves, and their fellow players. .
XIV. Honor/Consideration for Others
All event participants should play with honor, integrity, and good sportsmanship; placing these values above winning. While many enjoy the opportunities for competition that airsoft offers, airsoft with the OB TEAM focuses on Military Simulation, the quality of the games and scenarios, camaraderie, and the enjoyment of the players. Winning is always secondary.
Participants of Team OB airsoft events follow the golden rule: “Its just a game”.
Poor sportsmanship and dishonorable play will not be tolerated. Any individual engaging in any conduct that may be viewed as unsportsmanlike may result in immediate dismissal from the field, suspension, or even complete expulsion and/or revocation of membership privileges, depending on the severity. Participants in any Team OB airsoft event should treat their fellow players with kindness, dignity, and respect.
XV. Honesty / Admitting Defeat
Airsoft is a hobby based solely upon the honor and honesty of the participants. Cheating will not be tolerated and will result in ejection without refund. It is the responsibility of the individual to know, have read, and understand all current rules and policies, and any special rules that apply to the current game or scenario. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.
All players should pay attention to incoming fire and make every effort to be aware of when they have been hit, whether it is from feel, a light tap, or only the sound. Purposefully ignoring hits and pretending not to notice hits is not only cheating, but its also lying, which has no place in a hobby based upon the character and honesty of its participants.
Immediately upon being struck by a BB during a game, players will demonstrate honor and good sportsmanship by immediately indicating that they have been hit. At the very minimum, a player will raise their arm immediately and loudly call ”HIT!” before donning their kill rag. If appropriate to the current scenario, a player may wish to precede this with a dramatic, horrific, and loud death act.
XVI. No Physical Violence
All participants in Team OB events will never physically threaten another player or resort to physical violence of any kind. Any event participant that should do so will be immediately removed from the field with no refund and all future play privileges revoked.
XVII. Scenario Gaming
Participants in Team OB airsoft events will always endeavor to play within the theme of the current game or scenario, and faithfully conduct themselves according to that theme. This does not just mean sticking to the prescribed rules, but it means having a little fun and helping to ensure the other players are having fun too. A little acting goes a long way to improving the experience for everyone involved. Faithfully execute battle plans, follow the chain-of-command for your side, work as a team. Each participant should do his or her part to add to the immersion of the scenario for all involved.
Many games may involve dividing into opposing forces and establishing a commander and a chain of command for each force. MilSim (or Military Simulation) and military styled war gaming requires teamwork, organization, and a chain of command. A collection of players acting as individuals or small-unrelated groups and trying simply to gain kills is just a skirmish or a game of speedball. Participating in a scenario game and achieving the military-styled objectives requires action and cooperation throughout each side in the simulated conflict. Event participants are expected to understand that their side in the scenario may be comprised of several different teams and individuals working together. Within that side a chain of command must be established, and most likely, one commander for each side, and possibly a given side will even further divide itself into smaller groups that all work together within the chain of command to accomplish their objectives.
TEAM OB expects that all players will follow the orders given to them by the chain of command for their side, regardless of whether an individual player agrees or disagrees with the strategy at hand, or if the individual player is on a different team that the commander for his side. All players on a given side are expected to work together within the boundaries of the scenario, and the chain of command, to accomplish their objectives. Just as a given scenario and its associated strategies and objectives are part of a military simulation, so is the act of being a soldier and adhering to a chain of command. XVIII. Marshals/Referees/OC – Observer Controller and Game Organizers
The word or judgment of a marshal/referee (or OC: Observer-Controller) or Team OB authorized personnel is final. All event participants must comply with the instructions of any these authorized personnel that may be moderating the game and/or any Authorized personnel. Argument with any Team OB authorized personnel, or refusal to comply, will be considered unsportsmanlike conduct and result in ejection without refunds.
XIX. Common Sense
No amount of rules, guidelines, or regulations is a substitute for common sense. Team OB expects its members and participants at any events to exercise common sense at all times: during games, in interaction with each other, and within the airsoft community as a whole XX. Jungle Game Site
Team OB’s jungle gamesite is a protected area. Participants should not in anyway, cut, hurt and vandalize trees and the surroundings. Plastic bags will be provided to each Team participants for their garbage/trash.
XXI. Building Rules - (These rules apply when the providing field has buildings) 1.) Players are not allowed to fire over the top of buildings or blind fire down over the buildings. Blind firing around corners of buildings is also prohibited. 2.) Moving or turning of buildings in any way or fashion is prohibited. 3.) Cutting or tearing of building walls is prohibited. 4.) Destroying the seams of buildings is prohibited. XXII. Violation of Rules
In addition to the rules above, all rule violations can be categorized into three sections. - In game rule violation - conduct violation - gear violation
1. In-Game Rule Violations
When an In Game Rule Violation occurs, which can be anything from a safety violation, to physical contact, or a gross misuse of an airsoft weapon, marshal/s will forward a verbal report immediately to the event organizers for the day, who will have ability to perform one of three things.
The event organizers can: a. Make an on the spot correction if the infraction is not a serious one, and issue a verbal warning. b. Take the prospective player out of the game completely if the infraction was in fact serious, or if previous warnings did not affect a positive outcome
c. The S/C can suspend privileges for that player on the spot.
2. Gear Violation
A gear violation is defined as any participant not having the mandated safety equipment before or during a game.
If a marshal or event coordinator finds a member not adhering to the gear requirements, that marshal/event coordinator:
a. Issue a verbal warning.
b. If the infraction continues, the S/C will then suspend any and all future privileges for that player immediately, remove the player from the game.

ANNEX A
Jungle Speedball Airsoft Cup 2 Pugad Lawin 2 April 5, 2008
Official Rules and Game Play
I. General Rules 1. Chrono All airsoft guns to be used during the event should pass the chrono limit as set by Team OB which is 450 fps at 0.02 bb. Two chronos will be available at the site during the day of the competition starting at 7:00am and will be performed by authorized Team OB. Authorized stickers will be placed at strategic points of the gun to avoid tampering.
2. Game Time / Designated Start Area Schedules
All Team participants are provided with the game time and designated start area schedules and are required to strictly follow their game schedules. Each team will be allowed 5 minutes to prepare after they are called-in by the event organizers for their turn to play. Failure to do so would mean forfeiture of the game in favor of the opposing team.
3. Use of handheld / portable radios during the game is strictly not allowed.
4. All players who will participate in the games should be 18 yrs. old and above.
II. Point System
The games will be played for 8 minute durations with 10 players from each opposing team and should be played within the designated game area only. Mechanics are as follows:
a. Teams will be provided 100 points at the start of each game. A deduction of 10 points for every casualty suffered by the team will be made. The remaining number of team members who survived the 8 minute game will be counted as points earned for the said game (e.g. 5 remaining team players = 50 points).
b. The objective of the 8 minute game is to get one (1) color coded bomb then plant AND diffuse (via unlocking the pad lock) the bomb at the color coded designated area. Bomb successfully planted AND diffused at the color coded designated area will have its corresponding points. Codes for unlocking the pad lock (i.e. diffusing the bomb) are located at their respective color coded designated areas (please refer to the game site layout). No points will be awarded if the color of the bomb and the designated bomb area do not match. No points will be awarded if the bomb is NOT diffused. There will be two color coded bombs to choose from - BLUE and RED. Once a member of the team gets a colored bomb, it CAN NOT be exchanged for another color for the whole duration of the 8 minute game. In case the bomb carrier gets hit, he/she should leave the bomb where he/she got hit. Any member of the team that is still “alive” may retrieve it and proceed with the objective. Any physical contact to an opposing team’s bomb IS NOT ALLOWED!
c. The first team who will be able to plant AND diffuse the bomb at the designated area wins the game regardless of the remaining time AND will be awarded the corresponding points. The corresponding points will be added to the “player” points discussed in item (a) above. The total will then be the team’s score for that particular game.
d. Bomb successfully planted AND diffused in the color coded designated area will be awarded the corresponding points – BLUE = 50 points and RED = 100 points. No points will be awarded if the bomb has not been planted AND diffused by either team when game time expires.
e. Penalties (See item III below), if any, will be deducted from the points earned during the game. The remaining number of points after deduction of penalties will be the official team score for the game played.
Protest and concerns during a particular game should be relayed immediately by the Team Leader / Assistant Team Leader to the event organizers and should be properly settled prior to point computation. Event organizers will have the final decision on such protest or concern.
f. Games will be played on a single round match on brackets A and B. The teams with the most number of points earned during the single round match on brackets A and B will compete for the Over-all Champion and 1st Runner-up places. The teams on bracket A and B with 2nd most number of points will compete for 2nd and 3rd Runner-up places.
III. Penalties
1. Yellow Card – 10 Points Deduction
• Refusing to leave the game area after being tapped or called hit by the game marshals.
• Hit calling, arguing with marshals and team organizers and use of abusive language during the game.
• Coaching during the game from any Team Members or Team companion. Players who are caught coaching another team’s player/s will be penalized by deducting 10 points from the Team who coached another team (please see 3rd bullet of item no. 2 below for related rule “repeated coaching”).
• Violation of any of the provisions of The Team Oakwood Boys General Rules and Regulations.
2. Blue Card – 20 points Deduction

• Repeatedly hit-calling and abusive language during the game after being fined by a yellow card.
• Repeatedly coaching during the game from any Team Member or Team companion after being fined by a yellow card.
Any team member or any individual identified to be part of a team (e.g. girlfriend, boyfriend, father, mother, brother, sister, bodyguard, personal aide, maid etc.) that will repeatedly coach his/her team or another team’s players during the game would be penalized a blue card with a deduction of 20 points from the total score earned by the Team from which he/she belongs or identified with. Second infraction will bear a 40 point deduction from the total score. Third infraction will warrant a RED CARD as detailed in item no. 3 below.
• Repeated violation of any of the provisions of The Team Oakwood Boys General Rules and Regulations.
3. Red Card – Team Ejection from Competition without refund of Registration Fee!
A red card would be given to Teams who would still violate Game Rules and regulations after being given a blue card and/or:
